ESSCO Purchases The Assets Of Cirrus Trading LTD.

ELECTRIC SWEEPER SERVICE COMPANY PURCHASES THE ASSETS OF CIRRUS TRADING LTD.

For the second time in as many months Electric Sweeper Service Company, (ESSCO) has made a strategic acquisition to strengthen their position as the leading wholesaler of vacuum cleaners and parts in the nation. In August, ESSCO purchased RW Home Products, a Midwest competitor to increase their geographic footprint for distribution.

ESSCO is now pleased to announce that it has purchased the assets of Cirrus Trading LTD, a Cincinnati, Ohio based importer of vacuum cleaners to the Independent vacuum cleaner segment of the vacuum cleaner market. ESSCO now owns the Cirrus brand of vacuum cleaners. This purchase will allow ESSCO to provide a high quality branded line of vacuum cleaners to their existing customer base. ESSCO will control future line expansion and the direction that the brands will take.

The Cirrus brand is an upscale group of residential and commercial vacuum cleaners marketed to the Independent vacuum cleaner channel. The Cirrus vacuum cleaner brand enjoys a growing following in the Independent vacuum channel. They are a very profitable line for vacuum dealers, who now also have the additional benefit of knowing that ESSCO’s superior customer service and high level of dealer trust is behind the brand. Essco will continue to invest in the brand and plans to expand the Cirrus offering and further penetrate the market with their new line of vacuums.

Currently there are three residential upright vacuum cleaners with a good, better, best mix of deluxe features including metal brushrolls, bottom plates and handles, on board tools, hepa filtration, rug/floor selectors and superior suction. All domestic models feature a two year warranty.

Two commercial uprights are currently manufactured under the Cirrus brand name. They are manufactured to compete with all the top brands of commercial vacuums. Both commercial models feature metal brushrolls, bottom plates and handles, very strong industrial suction motors for long life and a full commercial one year warranty. The top of the line commercial upright also includes on board tools and hepa filtration.

To round out the Cirrus brand there is a powerteam canister with a full sized power nozzle, on board tools and hepa filtration and an entry level ladybug straight suction canister with on board tools.

ESSCO will move the Cirrus and Prograde lines to their 26,000 square foot state of the art facility in Valley View, Ohio. VCP will distribute the Cirrus line in the west.
