Tom Bianco Appointed President Of ESSCO

A 30-year veteran of the consumer products distribution sector, Mr. Bianco possesses broad experience in sales and marketing, e-commerce, operations management, acquisitions and integrations, organic business growth, P&L management and budget planning. In each of his assignments, he has demonstrated a strong ability to build lasting partnerships with domestic and international suppliers, dealers and retailers of all sizes. His broad logistics experience includes warehousing, operations, domestic and international transportation, inventory planning and customer service. Throughout his career, Mr. Bianco has repeatedly generated sustained revenue and EBITDA growth within dynamic and changing markets. He also has demonstrated achievement in asset and non asset-based distribution and logistics.

Prior to joining ESSCO, Mr. Bianco served from 2001 to 2007 as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Aurora, Ohio-based Atomicbox Logistics, a provider of domestic warehousing, transportation management and international distribution services. Among the many initiatives he spearheaded, Mr. Bianco developed a diversified sales and marketing strategy that focused on commercial companies, distributors, consumer product manufacturers, e-tailers and retailers. He also formed Asian Distribution Services in Shenzhen, China, a wholly owned subsidiary of Atomicbox Logistics, which provided warehouse consolidation and other value-added services. Collectively, these initiatives helped to boost revenue and profits significantly, which, in turn, led to the company’s sale in May 2006. Prior to 2001, Bianco spent 26 years with Federal Wholesale Incorporated in Youngstown, Ohio. There, he began his career as a sales representative and became the Company’s President within six years.

Mr. Bianco earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business and communications from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. Among his professional and community affiliations, he serves or has served as a Houseware Advisory Board Member of the International Mass Retailers Association, as well as a member of the International Houseware Business Solution Committee and the Merchant Banking Firm Advisory Committee.
