Responsibilities, Knowledge & Skills

  • Proven outbound phone sales and inbound sales coverage
  • Interacts with existing customers primarily by phone to increase sales of an organization's products and/or services
  • Possesses a “hunter” mentality with the reengagement of existing, low performing accounts
  • Provides general support to customers over the phone
  • Solicit sales of new or additional services through call discussions
  • Sells new and/or additional product lines to the account through direct call interaction
  • Provides pricing and delivery information
  • Serves as liaison between the customer and various departments
  • Resolves customer requests, questions; frequently requiring analysis of situations to determine best use of resources
  • Apply Company sales programs and techniques to achieve sales plans
  • Ability to achieve monthly call and sales targets
  • Understands sales statistics to generate ideas and to expand services available to present customers
  • Collects/maintains accurate notes on assigned customers within CRM platform
  • Collects current information of competitive product and activity
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding quotas

  • Coordinates activity with the credit department to assist as necessary
  • Collaboratively communicates/coordinates dealer activities effectively with counterparts as applicable
  • Has awareness of costs associated with customer support (pricing, invoice adjustments, returns)
  • Other duties as may be assigned by supervisor
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Must possess strong computer skills (MS Office, CRM, ERP)

 

Education and Experience

  • Previous industry related experience in distribution environment preferred
  • B to B selling, previous related customer service 
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, margins, and percentages
  • Competent with excel
