Essco was established in Cleveland, Ohio in 1924. Louis Pearsol split Pearsol Appliance into two separate companies, forming Essco to sell vacuum and small appliance parts, and Cleveland Washer Parts to handle the major appliance white goods business.
Since that time, Essco has continued to expand its position in the channel by acquiring other regional and national distributors like Star for Parts, Buckeye Vacuum Cleaner Supply Co and Northwest Wholesale distributors. This network put Essco on the map as the largest nationwide distributor of vacuum cleaners and vacuum cleaner parts, with offices or warehouses located in Twinsburg, OH; Denver, CO; and Reno, NV. This footprint allows Essco to reach 95% of all zip codes in the United States in 2 days or less!
In addition, Essco has extended hours of call center operations. You can reach an Essco sales representative M-F 8:00am-8:00pm EST. Essco maintains its corporate office location in Twinsburg, OH, which is the home to Twins Day, the largest annual gathering of twins in the world.
Essco also provides added value to its dealer partners by offering exclusive floor and home care brands like Dyson, e-Cloth, Casabella, and Heat Surge to name a few. In February 2019, Essco announced the newly formed partnership between Essco and Oreck. Essco added to its product portfolio the Oreck brand of vacuums, air purifiers, and related equipment, parts and consumables. Oreck has earned its reputation for making one of the finest vacuums available. Manufactured and assembled in Cookeville, TN, brings back the pride of “Made in the USA”. Essco acquired the DVC® brand and all it's rights, along with the associated brands from Home Care Products in January 2020. Owning the DVC® brand will enable Essco the flexibility to quickly meet the needs of our dealers, with the ability to provide customized dealer programs, packaging and bundling opportunities.
